Grenfell Heart Pin

The Grenfell Heart Pin was designed to honour and remember the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire on June 14, 2017. This tragedy, one of the darkest moments in recent UK history, claimed the lives of 72 innocent people and deeply affected many others.

The words “Grenfell Forever In Our Hearts’ etched on the side of the 3 of the pins were inspired by Firdaws Hashim, a bright and compassionate young woman who died in the fire along with her family. Firdaws’ kind spirit and unwavering love for her community continue to resonate deeply with those who knew her and those who have come to know her story. The Green heart and words inspired by Firdaws were also reproduced as a banner and now sit on top of Grenfell Tower.

The colour green was chosen after the channel was made aware of a group of young children from Fox School who wore green and helped raise funds for the victims of the tragedy. We wanted to show our support for their efforts so we chose the colour green for the heart.

4 different versions of the pin have been produced to date, with the first one being released for the 6 month anniversary.

Worn by so many around the world the Grenfell Heart symbolises a commitment to stand in solidarity with the bereaved, survivors and local community, ensuring that their voices are heard and their fight for justice is supported.
