Add Your Voice for grenfell
In commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, we launched the #AddYourVoiceForGrenfell campaign. This initiative aimed to amplify a powerful outpouring of messages, allowing people to express what Grenfell means to them and why it must never be forgotten. Bereaved families, survivors, local community members, and supporters from the wider community shared heartfelt videos, images, and messages of solidarity.
The goal of this campaign was to raise awareness and ensure the memory of Grenfell remains alive. We delivered this campaign online via social media and physically throughout Westfield, London, with displays on screens across the center.
In addition to the digital campaign, we organised several activities throughout Westfield, London, to mark the anniversary:
- The 72 Heart Wall: In memory of those who lost their lives, we created a poignant 72 heart wall. Surrounding the hearts were the words mother, father, brother, sister, uncle, aunty, and friend, symbolizing the relationships lost. Spanning an entire storefront in the atrium, this installation, created in collaboration with 3Deye, maximized visibility and impact.
- 72-Second Silence: We observed a 72-second silence throughout Westfield, during which the names of the 72 loved ones were read over the center’s tannoy system. Head office staff, store employees, shoppers, and passersby joined bereaved families and survivors by the heart wall to remember and reflect.
- John Lewis Tribute: We partnered with John Lewis to create a heart display in their main window, with the ceiling lit in green to honour the 5th anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire.
These activities, combined with the #AddYourVoiceForGrenfell campaign, ensured a widespread and heartfelt remembrance of Grenfell
